Broach Built 4 You: Four Programs Designed for Any Student
The Broach School traditional program individualizes the academic program for each student to assist all of them in meeting their personal goals at each grade level. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade are taught individually in small groups to ensure every student can proceed at his or her own pace without losing the value of a shared classroom experience. Assignments are generally completed at school, eliminating parent frustration in supervising homework, although students are encouraged to read and study at home. This program has been the hallmark of The Broach School's success through the years.
The Broach Academy is for students interested in attending college after high school. The academy is a college preparatory program for grades 6 through 12, emphasizing the skills and courses needed to compete in college or a university. This program is more rigorous than our traditional program with additional homework, service projects, honors and AP courses, and foreign language classes. However, the academy still employs the individualized approach to education and small classroom sizes from the traditional Broach School program. This is an excellent program for students motivated to further their education after high school.
The Broach School Excel program is for students in kindergarten through 12th grade who need to accelerate their learning through specialized learning strategies in a small group setting while allowing the students to receive personal attention from teachers, aides and therapists. The Broach School Excel program emphasizes both social and academic skills using alternative, hands-on and direct instructional methods while transferring those skills to traditional settings both inside and outside the classroom. It is especially beneficial for students with autism, autism spectrum disabilities and other developmental disabilities.
School Without Walls is a program designed for students over the age of 16 who plan to work after high school. School Without Walls combines the students' academic preparation with their preparation to enter the workforce. Students in this program take traditional classes part of the day while also participating in classes that provide job preparation or training during the other portion. Field trips into the business community provide real world experiences for these students. The School Without Walls program prepares students to obtain a job or enter a vocational training program after high school.
