MEET A TEACHER & STUDENT FROM BROACH GREENHOUSE
 About The Broach School
"Teaching is not a script. We educate and treat students as unique people, so they can become successful in direct proportion to their potential. In the Greenhouse project we are creating a living, breathing classroom where they can see, hear, touch, smell and taste what they are learning."

OUR PROGRAM
The Broach School models the one-room schoolhouse method of early American education. Each course is designed to take students from a point of weakness to a point of strength. Students are taught individually in small groups to ensure every student can proceed at his or her own pace without losing the value of a shared classroom experience. The Broach School has a hands-on, active learning approach that includes field trips, speakers and special projects. Assignments are generally completed at school, eliminating parent frustration in supervising homework, although students are encouraged to read, study and complete unfinished work at home.

ACCREDITATION
The Broach School is dedicated to maintaining high academic standards. Each campus is accredited or a candidate for accreditation with the Commission on International and Transregional Accreditation and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our transcripts are accepted by public and private schools and colleges.

TUITION & SCHOLARSHIPS
Although each student's tuition is individualized based on academic need, a general schedule of tuition, fees and extended payment plans are available upon request. Tuition scholarships are available through Florida's McKay Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities, Step Up for Students and Broach Scholars for families demonstrating economic need. Our school office can provide information on how to qualify for these scholarships.

PHILOSOPHICAL APPROACH
We are committed to helping students develop their God-given strengths and potential. We love each student unconditionally, fostering good attitudes and rejecting poor behavior. Our approach to discipline is counseling, counseling, counseling. We encourage students to respect their parents, teachers, fellow students and others. A handbook is given to each student upon enrollment.

GUIDANCE & GRADUATION
Students may be pre-tested at admission and are given standardized tests during the school year. Test scores and future goals are discussed with each student and their parents. Progress reports are also sent home periodically, and grades are issued every nine weeks. Parents may call or ask for a conference to check their student's progress.

Students must complete 24 credits in grades 9-12 to graduate from The Broach School. Specific courses may vary according to state requirements and individual goals. Credits are also available through summer school, work study, dual enrollment, Internet courses or transfers from other programs. Students who cannot qualify for a diploma are given the option of high equivalency (GED) or certificate program.

"Being at The Broach School has allowed me to have a hands-on experience, especially on the Greenhouse project. The school has allowed me to do what I'm good at."

BROACH WEST 9TH GRADE STUDENT
It's not so much what we teach, but the process of how we teach that matters. We teach HOPE.
